“As cyberattacks against retailers, banks and other businesses continue to dominate headlines, companies are getting serious about the process of devising internal strategies for defense and response. These strategies are reaching beyond the IT function and landing on the general counsel’s desk. A new report, published by the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and prepared by Hanover Research Corp., reveals that corporate legal departments are shifting strategies to become more proactive in their approach to cybersecurity, but still face some substantial obstacles to getting fully in gear.”
