The Government may say it is hoping for peace, but it is equipping Australian embassies in the Middle East for war. And not just any war, but a nightmare endgame in which Iraq uses chemical and biological weapons against United States-led forces and its neighbours. The Herald has learnt that Australian missions in the region have been supplied with protective clothing, gas masks, toxic agent detectors and antidote packs with injection kits in case of attack.
