A man wanted for allegedly ripping off computer companies was returned to New York after a worldwide 18-month manhunt, the Queens district attorney announced yesterday. Rami Hassan, 22, a naturalized American citizen from Kuwait, was charged in an indictment last year with being the “enforcer” in a computer theft ring that ripped off nearly $3 million worth of computer equipment from top companies like IBM, Gateway, Dell and Apple. Hassan fled during the investigation, first to Baltimore, then to Mexico, Belgium, England, Spain, Jordan and Colombia, where he was arrested last month.
