Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and US President George W. Bush made Time magazine’s list of 100 “People Who Shape Our World,” joining a group that includes Islamic extremists, heads of state and entertainers. The list in the weekly’s issue to be published Monday also includes Chinese President Hu Jintao, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Pope John Paul II. The list also includes other central figures from the Iraq war: US General John Abizaid, Shiite leader Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, and Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi, the alleged mastermind of Al-Qaeda operations in Iraq.
