A threat actor using the moniker ‘Gnosticplayers’ has once again uploaded a database containing millions of records to a popular dark web marketplace. Last month, Gnosticplayers put three massive data collections affecting hundreds of millions of users up for sale and promised that more stolen records would be coming soon.
The hacker has now fulfilled his promise by uploading 26.42 million user records from six companies, namely GameSalad, Estante Virtual, Coubic, LifeBear, Bukalapak and YouthManual. The price for the data is set at almost $5,000 in bitcoin. Last month, Gnosticplayers listed two motivations for stealing and selling user records, namely to make money, and to further the “downfall of American pigs.”
