A Bangsamoro political alliance has accused the government of concocting the story on the creation of a death squad called Sabillah purportedly by the combined forces of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the Abu Sayyaf and the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI). Nash Pangadapun, secretary-general of the Moro group Maradeka, noted that the timing of the story was very suspicious, coming at a time when allegations of massive electoral fraud were being hurled against the administration. Over the weekend, the military has claimed that the MILF, the Abu Sayyaf and the JI had sent out a group of assassins called Sabillah to kill prominent political leaders. The report, Kabalu said, was baseless but the MILF would file a complaint with the administration through the government of Malaysia anyway.
