A new ESET report shows that just 42% of organizations provide training on compliance issues as part of their cybersecurity strategy, even though such training is vital for ensuring that user data is securely collected, processed and stored. Moreover, 63% of companies still mostly rely on passwords for securing data.

The study also looks at how an individual’s personality may indicate how susceptible that person is to social engineering attacks that involve psychological manipulation. The findings show that people who are very much focused on what is going on in the outside world (Extraversion) are more likely to fall victim to social engineering by threat actors than people who are better at Sensing (observing and remember details), as the latter are more likely to see through a cyber scam.
