The International Space Station is now equipped with a robot programmed to serve astronauts. The Crew Interactive Mbile Companion (CIMON) was developed by IBM and Airbus, and is designed as a floating computer that can take orders from crew members, display requested information, while creating “a feeling of talking to a crew mate.”
