A new report by a United Nations (UN) expert panel lists various possible violations of UN sanctions on North Korea that are being investigated. A total of 20 countries may have violated the sanctions, including China, Syria, Iran, Libya and Sudan.
The report also mentions that North Korea is increasingly evading sanctions by “using cyberattacks to illegally force the transfer of funds from financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges.” In addition, the country’s main nuclear site is still active.
