According to a new report based on 2018 figures from the Internet Society’s Online Trust Alliance (OTA), US Federal government websites ranked higher than any other sector in terms of security and privacy, with 91% of websites qualifying for the ‘ Honor Roll,’ OTA’s top rating. This is a vast improvement from 2017 when only 39% of government websites were put on the Honor Roll.
In general, 70% of websites received a top rating, up from 52% in 2017. Last year’s top ranked sector, consumer services, received the second highest Honor Roll rating, namely 85%.
