New research by Carbon Black shows that the healthcare sector is increasingly targeted by threat actors. As many as 83% of healthcare organizations have noticed a rise in cyberattacks over the past year and 2 in 3 firms (66%) say that the attacks are getting more sophisticated.
Ransomware continues to be a major problem, as 66% of health care companies suffered a ransomware attack last year. Despite this, the top security concerns of CISOs are compliance (33%), budget and resource restrictions (22%), loss of patient data (16%), vulnerable devices (16%) and inability to access patient data (13%).
