US Cyber Command took down Iranian systems used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for controlling rocket and missile launchers. The cyberattacks were retaliation for the downing of a US drone by Iran and the recent attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman, which the US has attributed to Iran.
However, Iran’s minister for information and communications technology, said on Monday that the US cyberattacks had failed. “They try hard, but have not carried out a successful attack,” the official wrote on Twitter.
