Data breach notification website Have I Been Pwned has added a new database containing the personal information of 90,000 German members of Mastercard’s “Priceless Specials” loyalty program. The data, which includes payment card numbers, was exposed in a breach on August 20 and has been shared on several websites since then.
In addition to payment card numbers, the breach exposed the names, gender, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and partial credit card data of impacted customers. Mastercard suspended the loyalty program in the wake of the breach. As part of an investigation into the incident, the company has urged websites circulating the exposed data to remove it.
