Recent research by Flashpoint reveals how much, or sometimes how little, stolen data and other illicit goods and services are actually worth on the dark web. Threat actors are selling ‘fullz’ packages that can be used for identity theft for as little as $4-$10. These offerings comprise full names, social security numbers, dates of birth, account numbers and sometimes other personally identifying information (PII). However, packages that include financial information, including credit scores, can cost up to $65.
While physical passports usually cost thousands of dollars, passport templates sell for much less. A US passport template costs only $18, while those for several European countries cost more than twice that amount (for France, Germany, Spain the price was $45 and for the Netherlands $50).
