A missile fired by an Israeli aircraft killed two Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip on Friday, the second day of an operation the army said was aimed at stopping mortar and rocket attacks on Jewish settlements. The missile strike, which witnesses said was carried out by a drone, and the death of a 16-year-old from wounds suffered on Thursday raised to 12 the number of Palestinians killed since Israeli forces entered the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis.
