Two men are to stand trial in Australia on separate terror-related charges. Architect Faheem Khalid Lodhi is accused of plotting terror attacks in Sydney and former baggage handler Bilal Khazal of compiling a terrorism guide.
Mr Lodhi has pleaded not guilty, while Mr Khazal’s lawyer argues his client’s manual did not advocate terrorism. Both have been charged under Australia’s tough new anti-terror laws, introduced after the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US.
Mr Lodhi and Mr Khazal will both stand trial on 1 July, on separate charges. Full Story
