Members of Cambodia’s largest and most powerful union will call a national strike if the National Assembly votes to decrease night wages this month, its president said Monday. Chea Mony, president of the Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTU), warned that the union’s members would strike if the National Assembly decides to lower night wages from 200 to 130 per cent of day rates in a vote scheduled for May 17.
