THE Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) is proposing an 11-point agenda for peace i n the region. It is also accusing President Umaru Yar’Adua and vice president Goodluck Jonathan of breaching the peace accord in the Niger Delta. The group in a letter to President George Bush following the recent extradition of one of its leaders, Henry Okah and one Eduardo Atata to Nigeria by the Angolan governemnt said the precious “so-called process to resolve the Niger Delta unrest has been fraught with fraud and insincertiy.” Full Story
