Thirty-four people are now known to have died and 89 to have been been injured in flash floods that struck southern Algeria last week, the prime minister said on Tuesday. An earlier report had put the number of dead in the stricken Ghardaia region, 600 kilometres (350 miles) south of Algiers, at 33 with 49 people injured. (Full Story)
