New research by Experian shows that companies are still falling short when it comes to cyber security disaster preparedness. The study found that just over one-third of business executives (36%) believes their organization is ready to respond to a data breach involving business confidential information and intellectual property, even though roughly the same number of organizations (35%) have experienced two or three data breaches in the past two years and 11% of companies faced over 5 data breaches over that period.
Furthermore, just 2 in 5 (41%) organizations feel confident they could respond to a ransomware attack and only 36% of organizations are fully compliant with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
