Hospital breach exposes extensive patient and personal data.
Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital says a January 31 network intrusion exposed the information of roughly 257,000 people, including Social Security numbers, medical record details, and contact information. The hospital told regulators it has no evidence the data has been misused but urged affected individuals to watch for suspicious activity. NMH says it secured its systems and notified law enforcement after discovering the breach, though no group has claimed responsibility. The Texas hospital, which operates a 226‑bed facility, has not offered credit monitoring to those impacted.
