Memorial Hospital and Manor, a small rural hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia, has revealed that around 120,000 people were impacted in a recent ransomware attack. The attack was first disclosed in early November 2024, with the hospital shutting down systems. Staff had to use pen and paper to record patient information while the systems were offline. The Embargo ransomware group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and allegedly stole 1.15 terabytes of data. The compromised information includes dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical history, and health insurance information
