Chad has begun to deploy its army to its border with Sudan following cross-border attacks.
Chad has begun emergency relocation of refugees away from its border with Sudan as the army prepares deployments in response to deadly cross‑border attacks. The move follows a drone strike from Sudan that killed 17 people in Chad, prompting the government to strengthen border security and consider actions inside Sudanese territory. About 2,300 refugees are being moved inland from transit towns such as Tine.
