EU presses Ukraine on corruption amid war effort.
European leaders urged Ukraine to intensify its fight against corruption after a scandal at the state nuclear company led to high-level resignations and dismissals. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pledged transparency and stronger support for anti-corruption agencies as investigators pursue a scheme allegedly worth $100 million. Despite concerns, the European Commission announced a €6 billion loan and promised more funding to sustain Ukraine’s finances.
