A widely circulated video from the crash site appears to show the plane spiraling as it fell, with white smoke rising from its wings. Later on Tuesday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed deep sorrow over the incident in a social media post, saying there may have been casualties. “We learned [of the crash] with deep sadness,” Erdogan wrote on X. “May God have mercy on our martyrs,” he added.
