The United States has stationed its own customs officers at Malaysia’s main port of Klang to check U.S.-bound container cargo for any terrorist risk, the U.S. customs service has said. The U.S. team is working jointly with its Malaysian counterparts at Klang, 25 miles west of Kuala Lumpur. Klang is one of 18 ports around the world now covered by the Container Security Initiative (CSI) scheme launched by the United States in the wake of the attacks of September 11, 2001. Full Story
