A bomb blew up outside the house of a senior Palestinian security commander in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, increasing tensions between President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah faction and the militant Islamic group Hamas. The attack in the southern town of Rafah was the first against a leader of the Palestinian security service, which is dominated by Fatah, since Hamas won the January 25 parliamentary election by a landslide.
