NATO has launched talks with Pakistan on transporting supplies via the country to its expanding peacekeeping force in neighbouring Afghanistan, a spokesman said. The 26-nation alliance notably hopes to deploy a “liaison officer” in Islambad to help coordinate supplies for the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said spokesman James Appathurai.
