According to this year’s edition of the The Worldwide Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community, the major cyberthreats for the US and its allies come from China and Russia.
The report states that “China presents a persistent cyber espionage threat and a growing attack threat to our core military and critical infrastructure systems,” and that “Russia poses a cyber espionage, influence, and attack threat to the United States and our allies.” It should come as no surprise that the other major threat actors singled out in the report are North Korea and Iran.
