A new report by CybeReady shows that three in four (75%) executives consider phishing to be the top threat to their organization. A majority (58%) of respondents said that cybersecurity / phishing awareness training is a better way to mitigate the phishing threat than purchasing technology solutions. However, many companies are not properly informing their employees, since 60% of users receive awareness training fewer than 4 times a year.
CybeReady CEO Shlomi Gian states that current training programs are ineffective because “after failing a phishing simulation, employees spend approximately 30 seconds to understand what they did wrong.” In order to achieve better results, programs should “include continuous, data-driven training with adaptive and customized capabilities,” according to Gian.
