India has begun to pursue an energy agreement with Guyana.

Indian Prime Minister Modi has concluded a visit to Guyana which focused on energy exports. India has begun to pursue negotiations with Guyana to increase their oil trade. Guyana has been receptive towards a deal, but has held off an committing to a final agreement. Guyana has said that Exxon will need to be consulted before any final terms can be agreed to.
