100% of the topics in America’s AI Action Plan will be familiar to OODA network members. They are issues frequently discussed in our network meetings and issues that have been examined for years in our research and reporting.

This should give you an advantage. You are poised to act fast and shift your business strategy and intent to adjust faster than your competition based on the changes that will flow from the plan.

The plan is organized into three major topic areas:

• Acceleration of AI Innovation: The U.S government is fostering rapid private-sector-driven AI innovation by removing regulatory barriers, promoting open-source models, and investing in workforce skills and research.
• Improvement of American AI Infrastructure: Major efforts are underway to expand and secure domestic data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, energy capacity, and skilled workforce pipelines to support robust, scalable, and resilient AI deployment.
• Leading International AI Diplomacy and Security: The U.S. is asserting global leadership by exporting American AI technology and standards, coordinating security and export controls with allies, and proactively managing risks posed by adversarial nations and emerging biosecurity threats

The plan is being widely shared and summarized, which may lead to a tendency in some to think it is just another government document. It is not. For the savvy leader it has information that can inform actions and shape strategy for both startups and larger organizations.

I reviewed the document with that in mind and produced three separate summaries for members of the OODA network, each leading to recommendations and considerations for your action.
