The Center for a New American Security’s report “Swarms over the Strait: Drone Warfare in a Future Fight to Defend Taiwan” argues that drones will play a pivotal but insufficient role in a future U.S.-China conflict over Taiwan. The United States risks ceding critical battlespace in the Indo-Pacific unless it rapidly fields scalable small drone capabilities.
