Iran’s parliament approves bill labelling US army as ‘terrorist’

Iran on Tuesday officially designated US Central Command (CENTCOM) and all its troops “terrorist.” The new legislation was approved one day after the US decided to stop issuing waivers for the largest importers of Iranian oil and two weeks after the US State Department announced that it will designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization.

Iran already designated the US government a sponsor of terrorism and labeled US troops in the Middle East as “terrorist” after the IRGC was added to the US terror list. The IRGC is the first government entity ever to receive the ‘terrorist’ label.
