German lawmakers are set to approve two orders Wednesday for attack drones, each worth about €270 million ($319 million), from local startups Helsing and Stark Defence as Berlin seeks to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank. The budget committee in the Bundestag lower house of parliament is expected to green light framework agreements with the companies to buy so-called medium-range loitering munition systems, according to members of the group who asked not to be identified because the deliberations aren’t public. Spokespeople for Stark and the Defense Ministry declined to comment. Helsing didn’t respond to a request for comment.
