Radiology Associates breach exposes 1.4M patients’ data.

Radiology Associates of Richmond disclosed that hackers accessed its systems from April 2nd through the 6th of 2024, exposing files with personal and protected health information belonging to 1,419,091 individuals. A breach notice published July 1, 2025, revealed that compromised data may include names, dates of birth, medical records, insurance details, and limited Social Security numbers. The organization reports no evidence of misuse but is offering free credit monitoring to patients whose SSNs were exposed. Considering the breach was discovered over a year after the intrusion, this incident highlights ongoing security challenges in healthcare IT.
