Delta Dental of Virginia reports major data breach.

Delta Dental of Virginia disclosed that nearly 146,000 people had personal and health information stolen after a threat actor accessed an employee email account between March and April. Compromised data includes names, Social Security numbers, government IDs, and protected health records. The provider said there is no evidence of misuse but is offering free identity protection and credit monitoring to affected individuals. Based in Roanoke, the nonprofit serves families with dental and vision plans and runs a charitable foundation focused on oral health.
