Over 22,000 IP addresses have been taken down in a recent law enforcement operation. The law enforcement effort, called Operation Synergia II, took down thousands of IP addresses. The IPs were linked to phishing, infostealer, and ransomware attacks. Additionally, 41 individuals were arrested and 65 additional suspects are being investigated. Interpol announced the results of the operation on Tuesday, stating that the investigation occurred from April 1 to August 31. The operation was launched in response to the recent uptick in cyberattacks worldwide. Interpol emphasized that phishing is the top initial access technique used by malicious actors, while infostealers are used in ransomware attacks.
