250,000 Impacted by Data Breaches at New Jersey, Texas Healthcare Firms

Clover Health Investments and AngMar Management Services disclosed separate data breaches that exposed the sensitive personal and medical information of approximately 250,000 individuals combined. The affected data includes names, dates of birth, insurance details, and in some cases, Social Security numbers and detailed medical histories. New Jersey-based Clover Health was compromised earlier in the year, impacting nearly 139,000 people, while Texas-based AngMar affected over 126,000 individuals. Investigators confirmed that the AngMar incident involved the Interlock ransomware group, which allegedly stole and threatened to leak hundreds of gigabytes of data. Both organizations have notified federal health regulators and are actively working to inform affected patients while reinforcing their network security defenses.
