Phishing scams drain millions from crypto wallets

Blockchain analysts identified three major phishing attacks over the weekend that cost victims approximately $3 million in cryptocurrency and NFTs. The largest theft netted criminals $1.54 million after a victim signed malicious batch transactions disguised as legitimate token operations, while another attack resulted in $1 million losses through fake Uniswap exchange transactions. A third victim lost nearly $500,000 by signing a fraudulent “permit” signature on Monday morning. Security experts recommend double-checking all transaction requests and using verification tools, as criminals increasingly use sophisticated methods like expired Discord invites and fake Google Sites to target crypto users.
