Boston Scientific remains in partial shutdown nearly a week after a cyberattack caused a major network outage that halted manufacturing, slowed customer order processing and disrupted product shipments. The company says the intrusion, detected August 25, appears confined to certain on‑premises systems and has shown no further malicious activity, though remote activations for some cardiac monitors were affected. CrowdStrike and other experts are assisting as Boston Scientific works toward resuming limited shipping this week, but it has not provided a full restoration timeline. No cybercrime group has claimed responsibility for the breach.
