Canadian authorities have arrested the suspected Snowflake hacker. Alexander ‘Connor’ Moucka is accused of having hacked multiple Snowflake accounts earlier this year. It is believed that Moucka orchestrated the large-scale campaign which compromised 165 organizations’ Snowflake accounts. The attacks occurred in late May on accounts that were not protected by multi-factor authentication. Mandiant then discovered in June that the attacker was connected to a previous information stealer infection. Large-scale organizations such as Ticketmaster, Allstate, AT&T, and State Farm were impacted in the Snowflake attacks. Moucka is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
