China Accuses US of Cyberattack on National Time Center

China accuses the U.S. National Security Agency of a cyberattack.

On Sunday, the Ministry of State Security made a WeChat post accusing the U.S. National Security Agency of stealing information from the National Time Service Center’s staff in 2022. The post also alleged that the U.S. National Security Agency used cyberattack weapons to infiltrate the National Time Center between 2023 and 2024. It was stated in the post that they had evidence, but such evidence was not provided in the post. This post could worsen tensions between the United States and China. The U.S. Embassy did not immediately comment on the matter.
