The US Treasury Department has disclosed that it was the victim of a Chinese backed cyber attack.

The US Treasury Department has disclosed to Congress that its systems were breached by a Chinese backed cyber attack. The Department said the attackers breached a 3rd party contractor and gained access to their systems by making use of that breach. The US government is still investigating the breach at this time.
