Chip Services Firm Trio-Tech Says Subsidiary Hit by Ransomware 

Trio-tech has disclosed that its subsidiary has been the victim of a ransomware attack.

Trio‑Tech reported that its Singapore subsidiary suffered a ransomware attack on March 11, resulting in encrypted files and the activation of incident‑response protocols. Although initially deemed immaterial, the breach was later considered potentially significant after attackers published stolen data online. The Gunra ransomware group claimed responsibility by listing the company on its Tor leak site. The investigation remains ongoing as the company works with cybersecurity experts, law enforcement, and its cyber‑insurance provider to assess the full scope of compromised data.
