The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has stated that the recent cyber attack on the Treasury Department did not impact any other federal agencies. CISA is continuing to investigate the incident to better understand how the breach occurred and what impacts it has had on the Treasury. This statement comes a week after the Treasury Department announced that it had been the victim of a “major cybersecurity incident.” The attack gave Chinese state-sponsored actors access to computers and unclassified documents. China has denied all allegations that it was behind the incident.
