A ransomware group has claimed to have stolen data from Colombia’s state-run lottery.
A new ransomware group, Crimson Collective, claimed responsibility for breaching Colombia’s state-run Lotería de Medellín, leaking sensitive data of lottery winners. The stolen information includes national ID numbers, scanned IDs, bank account details, and biometric data like fingerprints. The group reportedly exfiltrated over 1TB of data and leaked samples after the lottery failed to respond to ransom demands.
