Cyber Incident at BAE Systems Halts US Federal Bankruptcy Noticing Infrastructure

A cybersecurity incident at major defense contractor BAE Systems has disrupted IT systems and websites supporting the U.S. Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC). The BNC, operated by BAE Systems on behalf of the Federal Judiciary, produces and transmits all bankruptcy notices for federal courts across the United States. All primary access points including bnc.uscourts.gov and the National Creditor Registration Service have been knocked offline, halting notice production. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AOUSC) is coordinating with BAE Systems to investigate the breach and communicate with affected courts. Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific nature of the attack, whether any data was exfiltrated, or a timeline for restoring operations.
