Russia-linked hackers deploy destructive malware against Ukrainian infrastructure.
A Cisco Talos report states that a critical infrastructure organization in Ukraine was targeted using PathWiper, a malware designed to erase system data. PathWiper is deployed through a legitimate administrative tool to disrupt essential files by corrupting storage structures. The attack resembles earlier wiper incidents from January and February 2022, which were traced to Russian threat actors.
