Customer service provider breach exposes support ticket information.
Hackers breached a third-party customer service provider used by Discord, stealing personal information from users who contacted support or trust and safety teams. The compromised data includes names, email addresses, IP addresses, billing information, and messages exchanged with agents, along with government ID images for users who appealed age determinations. Discord revoked the provider’s access, launched an investigation with a forensics firm, and began notifying affected users, though the company has not disclosed when the breach occurred or how many of its 200 million monthly users were impacted.
